Alexandru

Alexandru este un baietel de cinci ani care a inceput sa primeasca terapie prin intermediul Fundatiei Cristi’s Outreach in Septembrie. La inceput el prezenta intarzieri in domeniul cognitiv si in abilitatea de a comunica, precum si ecolalie si comportamente agresive severe.

In prezent el isi comunica dorintele verbal, abilitate ce a inlocuit comportamentele agresive. Alexandru a invatat sa numere, sa recunoasca numerele de la 1 la 100 si sa aseze numere in ordine. Deasemenea el poate sa recunoasca si sa numeasca literele mari si mici ale alfabetului. El cunoaste toate formele si culorile si poate sa identifice mai mult de 100 de obiecte din mediul sau.
Alexandru a invatat sa socializeze cu copii de aceeasi varsta cu el si cere jucarii de la adulti cunoscuti si de la alti copii in mod spontan. El cheama persoane familiare pe nume si ii consoleaza pe alti copii spunandu-le, “Nu-i nimic, nu plange, vine mama.”

El vrea mereu sa ii angajeze pe altii in jocul sau.  De exemplu, acum invata un colind de Craciun si ii intreaba mereu pe altii daca vor sa cante impreuna cu el.

Miruna

Miruna este o fetita de patru ani. In cadrul evaluarii initiale administrate de personalul Fundatiei Cristi’s Outreach ea s-a prezentat cu intarzieri severe in domeniul cognitiv, al limbajului, si al abilitatii de comunicare. Acum ea poate sa-si comunice dorintele verbal, se joaca cu jucarii corespunzatoare varstei ei, si socializeaza cu alti copii de aceeasi varsta cu ea. Ea a invatat sa cante si sa imite miscari corespunzatoare cantecelor. Mama Mirunei este impresionata de felul cum Miruna interactioneaza cu sora ei acasa, foloseste cuvinte spontan, precum si raspunde la salutul tuturor. Miruna invata acum un colind de Craciun pe care speram ca il va canta pentru parinti, impreuna cu alti doi copii din programul nostru.

  Alexandru

Alexandru is a five year old boy who has been attending the Cristi’s Outreach program since September. When he first began receiving our services he presented delays in his cognitive and communication skills, along with severe echolalia and aggressive behaviors.

He now verbally communicates his wants, which replaced his aggressive behaviors. He learned to count, recognize numbers from 1 to 100 and put numbers in the correct sequence. He is also able to receptively and expressively recognize uppercase and lowercase letters. He knows all the shapes and colors and can identify more than 100 objects in his environment.

He learned to socialize with peers and spontaneously asks for toys from familiar adults and other children. Alexandru calls everyone by their name and comforts other children when they cry by saying to them, “It is ok, don’t cry, your mom will come.”

He always wants to engage other children in the activities he is engaged in. For example, he is now learning a Christmas song and frequently asks other children to sing with him.

Miruna

Miruna is a four year old girl. When she was first evaluated by the Cristi’s Outreach Foundation staff she showed severe delays in his language, cognitive and communication skills. Now she can expressively communicate her needs, she plays with age-appropriate toys, and socializes with peers. She learned to sing several songs and imitate movements of songs. Her mother is very impressed with how she interacts with her sister at home, spontaneously says words, as well as returns everyone’s greetings. Miruna is now learning a Christmas song and we hope she will sing it with two other children who are enrolled in our programs, in front of their parents.
