Febuary 2009

Being The Rainbow Project Volunetter

  • It's very important to us that you're considering making a commitment to be a volunteer for the 2009 The Rainbow Project DFW. We recognize that this is a significant commitment, and we appreciate the seriousness with which you're considering it.

    The Experience Awaiting You…

…is exciting.  You'll be a part of a unique community of peers, united with a common purpose: to be of service. You'll also become part of one or more teams performing specific tasks.

A unique bonding experience happens to our The Rainbow Project DFW volunteers.  It may happen when you're completing a task, such as being part of a workshop team or it may come simply from knowing that you're part of the best run, most rewarding event in 2009!
Your The Rainbow Project DFW experience will be enhanced by your experience and relationships you form with our young actors and actresses.  And, of course, you don't pay to attend the The Rainbow Project DFW..

    Begin the Process

Becoming The Rainbow Project DFW volunteer isn't difficult.  You first have to decide if you can seriously commit to:

1 – Attending one of the 90-minute volunteer orientation meetings the week before the The Rainbow Project DFW (this is mandatory unless you have volunteered 3 years previously).

2 – Arriving at the The Rainbow Project DFW for your volunteer days (which must include SaturdayAND Sunday in time for the mandatory check-in at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday & Sunday.

3 – Maintaining your desire to be of service to the The Rainbow Project DFW attendees and the other volunteers throughout the event, as well as your commitment to be an integral part of the The Rainbow Project DFW staff.

    Some Tips

    1. All volunteers must register for Saturday and Sunday of the The Rainbow Project DFW.  If you'd also like to volunteer and attend on Thursday, just fill in workshops for those days. If we can accept you for those days, it will be noted on your confirmation letter.
