Autism 2006:
With Only 10,000 Steps…
You Can Make a World of Difference.

Come out to Andrew Brown Jr. Park
to help raise money for families of children with
autism
The walk is dedicated to families and children with
autism throughout the U.S. and all around the world
who struggle each day to help their children reach
their full potential. The Brent Woodall Foundation
for Exceptional Children seeks to empower parents of
autistic children through education, training, and
support services.
Registration begins at 8 am for
all participants who have not pre-registered. You
can pre-register at the Coppell Family YMCA on
Saturday, August 19th and September 2nd from 12-2pm
or Starbucks (Denton Tap and Sandy Lake Road in
Coppell) on September 2nd from 7-9am. Music and
entertainment will be provided by 96.7 The Texas
Twister. There will also be a bounce house for the
kids. The walk will be along a five mile trail;
however, there will be stations along the way with
water and snacks. There are also several short cuts
along the trail for those who are unable or do not
wish to walk the full five miles. Immediately
following the walk, join friends and family for
refreshments. We will be raffling off great prizes
including tickets to see the Dallas Mavericks and
the Texas Rangers, a one night get-away for two to
the Marriot at Legacy and at the new W Hotel in
Dallas and much more. All participants will receive
a t-shirt at the event. There will be gift bags,
fruit, and water at the finish, as well as, an
opportunity to learn more about the Brent Woodall
Foundation, which gives hope to parents of children
with autism.
A minimum donation of $25 for
adults and $10 for children is requested at the time
of registration. REGISTER

In addition to attending the
Walkabout for Autism, we are asking participants to
set a monetary goal and ask their friends and family
to sponsor you. Once registered, you can get the
sponsorship form on our website. Please fill out the
top of the form and send it to your friends and
family who might want to support you in making a
difference in the lives of children with autism.
When donations are made in your name, we will send
you a confirmation email, so you know when you reach
your goal.
