The walk is dedicated to families and children with autism throughout the U.S. and all around the world who struggle each day to help their children reach their full potential. The Brent Woodall Foundation for Exceptional Children seeks to empower parents of autistic children through education, training, and support services.

Registration begins at 8 am for all participants who have not pre-registered. You can pre-register at the Coppell Family YMCA on Saturday, August 19th and September 2nd from 12-2pm or Starbucks (Denton Tap and Sandy Lake Road in Coppell) on September 2nd from 7-9am. Music and entertainment will be provided by 96.7 The Texas Twister. There will also be a bounce house for the kids. The walk will be along a five mile trail; however, there will be stations along the way with water and snacks. There are also several short cuts along the trail for those who are unable or do not wish to walk the full five miles. Immediately following the walk, join friends and family for refreshments. We will be raffling off great prizes including tickets to see the Dallas Mavericks and the Texas Rangers, a one night get-away for two to the Marriot at Legacy and at the new W Hotel in Dallas and much more. All participants will receive a t-shirt at the event. There will be gift bags, fruit, and water at the finish, as well as, an opportunity to learn more about the Brent Woodall Foundation, which gives hope to parents of children with autism.

A minimum donation of $25 for adults and $10 for children is requested at the time of registration. REGISTER NOW! The first 50 people to register will receive a free Brent Woodall Foundation tote bag!

In addition to attending the Walkabout for Autism, we are asking participants to set a monetary goal and ask their friends and family to sponsor you. Once registered, you can get the sponsorship form on our website. Please fill out the top of the form and send it to your friends and family who might want to support you in making a difference in the lives of children with autism. When donations are made in your name, we will send you a confirmation email, so you know when you reach your goal.

We are still looking for sponsors for this event. If you are interested in sponsoring this event or donating supplies or services please contact us at development@woodallkids.org or 1-800-209-9776.
We would love it if you could come out and support us as we work to improve the lives of children with autism in the U.S. and all over the world!
