PECS: Getting
started
When you are creating
PECS for your child, familiar pictures that your
child has an interest in is very important.
Remember to use pictures/choices that are motivating
to your child. This will make their communicative
attempts much more meaningful, and hopefully more
frequent. (Don’t forget to laminate them so they
will last longer!) These pictures can be used for
your child’s communication book, daily schedules or
household labels. Here are some pictures to help
