Speech & Language Tip of the Month

Vocabulary Building

Increasing vocabulary is a common goal of children with developmental delays.  I recommend targeting this in categories.  It provides a nice framework for activities, and allows you to measure progress effectively.  Here are some suggested categories and starter vocabulary lists:

Food:
