New Social Skills Group
The
Brent Woodall Foundation has started a new social
language skills group in September. This is our
foundation’s fourth group and it targets children
between the ages of 18 months and three years. There
are currently four fantastic children participating
in this group, which is held two times per week.
This allows the children the practice and repetition
they need in order to be successful and learn the
new skills. The children move back and forth from
activities held on the floor to table activities.
Each month the group has a different theme including
body parts, animals, shapes, colors, weather etc.
The children participating in this group learn to
attend to their group leader and follow the leader’s
instructions, as well as attend to and imitate their
peers during activities such as singing, reading
books, coloring, pasting and playing games. The
children in this group are already making progress
in their language group learning skills.
